Deputy Quality Manager

We are recruiting for a Deputy Quality Manager to join a well-established electronics manufacturing business in Horsham. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll work closely with the Quality Manager across all aspects of Quality Assurance, compliance, auditing and continuous improvement, as well as deputising in their absence.

The role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Planning and carrying out QMS internal audits
• Maintaining approved supplier lists and monitoring supplier performance
• Investigating quality issues and managing corrective actions
• Managing NCRs, customer returns and 8D investigations
• Carrying out supplier audits when required
• Supporting BSI and customer audits
• Maintaining QMS documentation and document control
• Completing compliance requirements including RoHS, REACH, CMRT, EMRT and PFAS
• Managing equipment calibration and inspection requirements
• Liaising with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters
• Supporting Health & Safety and continuous improvement activities
• Deputising for the Quality Manager, including line management responsibilities

What we’re looking for

• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and EN 9120:2018
• ISO 9001:2015 Auditor qualification
• Quality experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience with dimensional inspection and calibration equipment
• Good understanding of 8D, root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Confident IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office

Experience within electronics, electrical components or electro-mechanical manufacturing would be a real advantage.
