We're recruiting for a well-established business in Horsham looking for a reliable Stores Person to join their operations team. This isn't just about moving boxes – you'll play a key part in making sure stock is where it needs to be, when it needs to be, helping both colleagues and customers keep things moving.

You'll be part of a small team where everyone chips in, your ideas are welcomed, and your work makes a real difference every day.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days are exactly the same, but you'll spend your time:

• Receiving deliveries and checking goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Booking stock into the system accurately.
• Organising and storing products so they're easy to find and correctly rotated.
• Picking and issuing parts and materials for internal teams and customer orders.
• Keeping inventory records up to date using the company's stock control system.
• Carrying out regular stock checks and helping investigate any discrepancies.
• Keeping the stores area clean, tidy and safe.
• Speaking with colleagues and customers about stock availability and order updates.
• Looking for ways to improve processes and make the stores run even more efficiently.

What We Are Looking For

You don't need to tick every box, but you'll probably have:

• Good communication skills and enjoy working with others.
• Confidence using computers and entering information accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload.
• A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
• The ability to carry out the physical aspects of a stores role safely.

It would be useful, but isn't essential, if you've worked with:

• Stock management or computer systems.
• Barcode scanners or stock control technology.
• Manufacturing, engineering or distribution environments.
• Basic warehouse health and safety procedures.
